How do we produce our editorial content?
Every article published by Wirtschaftsquelle is drafted by a named writer, reviewed by an editor, and fact-checked before publication. This three-stage process is overseen by Chefredaktör Daniel Simon and supported by our fact‑checking unit led by Christina Scholz. No piece reaches the site without human editorial approval, and our writers are required to cite original sources wherever possible. How do we distinguish between news, opinion, features, sponsored and affiliate content?
Wirtschaftsquelle clearly labels every piece according to its type. News and features carry a standard byline; opinion pieces are marked “Kommentar” or “Meinung”. Sponsored content is identified by a “Sponsored” badge at the top and a disclosure statement in the footer. Affiliate links within articles are accompanied by a short note such as “Contains affiliate links” and are disclosed in accordance with our Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure. Commercial relationships never influence editorial conclusions, and the distinction between editorial and commercial material is maintained at all times. What transparency do we provide at the article level?
Each article displays the name of the writer who drafted it, the editor who reviewed it, and the fact‑checker who verified the sources. The publication date is shown, and any subsequent corrections are appended with an editor’s note linking to our Corrections Policy. Readers can see the exact change and the date it was made. We believe this level of openness allows you to assess the reliability of each piece independently.
How do we maintain editorial independence?
Wirtschaftsquelle is owned by Wirtschaftsq Media Ltd, a private company registered in Gibraltar. Funding comes from display advertising, affiliate links, commercial partnerships, sponsored content, newsletter sponsorships and content licensing – but no commercial partner or advertiser can dictate what we cover or how we cover it. Editorial decisions rest solely with the Chefredaktör and the newsroom team. How do we use artificial intelligence?
AI‑assisted tools may be used to support research, drafting, formatting, translation, metadata generation, headline suggestions, summaries and transcription. However, every piece of published editorial content is reviewed and approved by a human editor. AI must never fabricate quotes, sources, interviews, bylines, author experience or expert profiles. Chefredaktör Daniel Simon (anders.lindqvist@wirtschaftsquelle.de) is ultimately responsible for editorial standards, publication decisions and corrections. How do we handle mistakes?
