Unsere Geschichte

Wirtschaftsquelle was founded in 2024 by Wirtschaftsq Media Ltd. to fill a gap in the Swedish news landscape: clear, practical reporting that gives readers context without noise. We deliver trustworthy journalism on politics, economy, culture and society for a Swedish and international audience, every article reviewed by a human editor before publication.

Why did Wirtschaftsq Media Ltd. found Wirtschaftsquelle?

Wirtschaftsq Media Ltd., a private company registered in Gibraltar (company number C 92009, Malta Business Registry), identified a demand among German‑speaking readers for accessible, factual coverage of Swedish current affairs that avoids sensationalism and spin. Existing outlets often oversimplified complex issues or buried context behind headlines. Wirtschaftsquelle was designed to fill that void.

Our tagline – “Nachrichten, Analysen und Hintergründe für Deutschland” – reflects this mission. Every story is drafted by a named writer, reviewed by an editor and fact‑checked before publication. We use AI‑assisted tools only for research, formatting or translation; human editorial judgement always remains final.

What is our editorial philosophy under chief editor Daniel Simon?

Daniel Simon, our Chefredaktör, is responsible for all editorial standards, publication decisions and corrections. His philosophy centres on honesty, context and accessibility: we never oversimplify, never spin, and we always explain why a story matters.

Simon leads a dedicated team of journalists who cover the Riksdag, government, municipal politics, the economy, financial markets, household finance, culture, lifestyle and society. Every desk operates under clear guidelines: verify sources, attribute claims, correct errors promptly. Our editorial mission is to help readers understand complex Swedish issues without resorting to clickbait or shortcuts.

Who is responsible for what we publish?

Sandra Groß, our Redaktionschef, manages the daily newsroom, headline review and commissioning. Matthias Horn, Politikredaktör, reports on the Riksdag, government and local politics. Julia Becker, Wirtschaftreporter, covers the economy, markets and household finance. Christian Lange, Kultur- und samhällsredaktör, oversees culture and society content. Christina Scholz is our Ansvarig för faktagranskning, responsible for fact‑checking, source verification and corrections.

You can meet the whole team on our /our-team/ page. Function emails – newsdesk, tips, corrections, legal, advertising – are listed under the same directory.

What you can expect from us

Every article on Wirtschaftsquelle carries a named byline so you know who wrote it and can hold us accountable. We link to primary sources wherever possible, and our /sources/ page explains our sourcing standards. Our /editorial-policy/ sets out how we handle corrections, fact‑checking and conflicts of interest.

We do not publish unverified claims. If we make a mistake, we correct it openly and note the change. Our corrections policy and fact‑checking policy are linked from every article footer. Readers can expect transparency, clarity and independence from commercial pressure.

How are we funded?

Wirtschaftsquelle is funded through display advertising, affiliate links, commercial partnerships, sponsored content, newsletter sponsorships and content licensing. All sponsored or commercial material is clearly labelled, and affiliate links are disclosed. Commercial relationships never determine editorial conclusions.

Full details of our ownership and funding structure are available on our /ownership-funding/ page. We also maintain separate policies for advertising, affiliate disclosure, sponsored content, and AI/automation – each accessible from our policy index.
